North of Tyne Mountain Rescue Team and ourselves were called to an incident on Tuesday afternoon by the North East Ambulance Service. A walker had sadly collapsed and died near to Hadrian’s Wall.
The Great North Air Ambulance Service and Northumbria Police were also involved in this tragic incident.
Our thoughts are with the walker’s family, friends and companions, who he had been walking with at the time.
The incident involved 20 Team members for 4.5 hours.
