The Team has just returned from evacuating an injured runner who was competing in the Hadrian’s Wall Half Marathon. Six miles in the runner had fallen badly and sustained a suspected lower arm fracture. He was given pain relief by the Team’s medic before being evacuated by Land Rover to an ambulance.
