Fundraising for Hi-Vis Rucksack Covers

With only a few months to go in our 50th year we are well on our way to reaching our £50k fundraising target. To date you have helped raised just over £41k. These funds are being put to use… they are helping us to convert a trailer into a mobile control unit and store for our water kit, and to replace the laptops used by our controllers.

We are now seeking to raise funds to equip each of our 40 Team members with a high visibility rucksack cover. These are essential when working in more urban environments and at night to ensure our members are easily seen.

Each cover costs £20 and remember every little helps. DONATE HERE!

Please share this post with your friends to help raise awareness of what we do.

Fund Raising Ceilidh

Last nights team fund raising Ceilidh went down a treat. A hall full of people both young and old were taught the steps and then left to dance to the wonderful sounds of the Whistling Sheep band.
Drinks were drunk, food eaten and raffles won and lost all in the name of supporting the teams work. Many thanks to the organisers Steve and Lesley for yet again another great evenings entertainment.
If you missed out on last nights entertainment make sure you keep checking our Facebook page and team website for future events.
Anyone who missed out on purchasing one of our fundraising buffs, they are available via post from;

Our 50th Anniversary

The Team is celebrating its 50th Anniversary this year. Following a tragic incident involving two shepherds near Ewartly Shank, a number of voluntary wardens from the Northumberland National Park formed the Mountain Rescue Team in 1965. Since that time the Team has been providing a life saving, emergency service.

To mark our 50th Anniversary we will be launching our “50 for 50” fund-raising campaign. More details to follow.
