*** Incident No.65 ***

Saturday 3 December 2016, 17.23hrs

Just as the Team stood down from the Hamsterley Forest incident, Northumbria Police activated the Team and North of Tyne MRT to assist in a search for a high risk missing person. The female in her early 60s had been missing from home in the Boldon Colliery area since late morning.

Three members of our overhead team liaised with Police at South Shields and agreed an initial search plan. As search groups were being deployed, a member of the public reported seeing a person meeting the description of the missing female. The female was located soon after, safe and well, before returning home to her family.

The incident involved 20 Team members for 3 hours 30 minutes.
